West Midlands Vegan Festival 2008 On World Vegan Day 2008 (Sat 1st November), we staged our first vegan festival at the Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton. The event was a fantastic success attracting over 1,200 visitors!! The event featured nearly 60 stalls offering a wide range of hot & cold food, cosmetics, toiletries, clothes, books, gifts, information etc. Three separate talk areas each boasted a full programme of speakers, workshops, cookery demos etc throughout the day. The Vegan Society Awards were presented on the main stage. An hour long magic show with Kristoff the Clown kept lots of children amused, whilst adults attended a speed meeting session. The event came to an end with live music, a great way to round off the World Vegan Day celebrations! The festival was bigger and better than any vegan event ever staged in the West Midlands and it will return, bigger and better in 2009!! See the photos below and many larger photos in our gallery.
