Introducing Our Special Celebrity Guest!

Famous vegan beauty, Roxie Ghawam-Shahidi - who plays 'Leyla Harding' in TV's Emmerdale - is our special celebrity guest at the festival.

Roxie will open the West Midlands Vegan Festival at 11am, alongside Councillor Malcolm J Gwinnett, The Mayor of Wolverhampton.

Roxie will also announce the winners of the UK Vegan Awards 2010 and present certificates, on stage in the cafe/bar at 1pm.

Finally, Roxie will take part in a question & answer session at 3pm.

Roxie said, "I'm really excited to be coming to Wolverhampton, particularly as this is my first ever vegan festival. I'm looking forward to a really fun day. It's fabulous that these kinds of events are being organised - with everything vegan from clothes to cookery demonstrations."

Kevin White of the festival organising group Midlands Vegan Campaigns said, "We look forward to welcoming all of Roxie's many fans, whether vegan-curious or die-hard omnivores."

Many thanks to our sponsors
